In India Modi extended lockdown till 3 May. We all are aware that the world is suffering from corona pandemic. Our government announced a lockdown till 14 April on 21 March. After seeing the mounting cases of coronavirus in the country.

PM Narendra Modi said

India’s fight against the Corona global pandemic is moving forward with great strength and steadfastness. It is only because of your restraint, penance, and sacrifice that India has so far been able to avoid the harm caused by corona to a large area. You have endured immense suffering to save your country, save your India.

I am well aware of the problems you have faced-some for food, some for place-to-place travel, and others for being away from home and family. However, we are performing our duties as a disciplined soldier for the sake of your country. This is the strength of ‘We, the People of India,’ of which our constitution speaks.

This show of our collective energy, by us Indian citizens, is a real tribute to Baba Saheb Doctor Bhim Rao Ambedkar, on his birthday. The life of Baba Saheb inspires us to fight with courage and hard work against any challenge. On behalf of all of us, I bow down to Baba Saheb.

Friends, that’s also the time of different festivals around different parts of our world.

The new year has begun in many states including rituals like Baisakhi, Pohela Boishakh, Puthandu, and Vishu. The way people abide by the laws and celebrate festivals with restraint while remaining with their homes is sincerely worthy of praise at the time of lockdown. On New Year’s day, I wish and pray for your good health Family, it is not right to equate our condition to any other nation in this kind of crisis.

India is in a very well-managed role today

But it’s also true that if we look at Corona-related statistics in the big, strong countries of the world, India is in a very well-managed role today. Regarding terms of Corona infection, several countries had been on a par with India a month, month and a half ago. But today, in those countries, the cases in Corona are 25 to 30 times that in India.

In those countries, thousands of people died terribly. Had India not adopted a systematic and comprehensive strategy, taking swift and decisive action; the situation would have been totally different in India today. Family, it is not right to equate our condition to any other nation in this kind of crisis. We have chosen the right course

From the experience of the last some days, it is clear that we have chosen the right course. Our nation has benefited immensely from Social Distancing and Lockdown. It certainly looks expensive right now from an economic only point of view; but calculated against the lives of the Indian people, there is no contrast itself. Today, the path taken by India within our limited resources has become a topic of discussion throughout the world.

The country’s state governments have also worked in this, handling the situation round the clock, with great responsibility. Yet mates, the emergence of the Corona pandemic in the midst of all these efforts has made health experts and governments all over the world even more alert.

I have been in constant touch with the States on how the battle against Corona in India should go forward.

All have mentioned keeping the lockout. In fact, several states have already agreed and announced that the lockdown will continue.

Friends, keeping all the suggestions in mind, it was agreed that India’s lockdown would have to be extended until 3 May.

Which means every single one of us will have to remain in the lockdown until 3 May. At this time, in the way we have been doing up to now, we will continue to maintain discipline.

It is my appeal and prayer to all fellow citizens that we will not at any cost encourage Coronavirus to spread into new areas. A single new patient would become a matter of concern to us, even at the smallest local level. The tragic death of even a single coronavirus patient should further raise our concern.

Hot-Spots

So we have to be very careful about hot-spots. We will have to watch closely and specifically at the locations that run the risk of being hot-spots.

Every town, every police station, every district, every state will be assessed on how much the lockdown is being followed up until April 20. The extent to which the area has protected itself from Coronavirus will be noted.

Areas that would excel in this litmus test, which will not be in the hot-spot group, and will have less chance of being a hot-spot; maybe be able to open selected activities from 20thApril.careless, don’t allow someone else to do so. Tomorrow the Government will provide a comprehensive guideline in this regard.

Friends, this small exemption has been granted in these specified areas after 20th April, taking into account the survival of our poor brothers and sisters.

Those who earn a daily end up reaching daily income are my family. One of my top priorities is to face difficulties in their lives. Through Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Yojna, the government has made every attempt to support them. Their interests have also been taken care of while making the new guidelines.

Friends, if we continue to be patient and follow rules, we will be able to defeat even a pandemic like Corona. With this faith and trust, I seek your support for 7 things in the end

PM 7 pleas to the countrymen

Take special care of the elderly in your homes, especially those who have chronic diseases. We have to take extra care of them and keep them safe from Coronavirus.
